Dans le cadre de l'établissement de ma liste de cadeaux (oui, j'suis un peu - beaucoup - psychorigide, j'aime bien avoir des trucs qui me plaisent à Noël... oui, magie, blabla, surprise... bon), je m'adresse à monsieur Kian pour avoir son avis sur "Captain Harlock - the endless odyssey"!
C'est bien, pas bien? Qualité du charac design? intérêt de l'histoire? Musique? ;)

J'ai trouvé ça beau et avec ambiance assez mystique, voir faisant par moments penser à un rêve. Le scénario n'est par contre pas exceptionnel, bien que je n'ai vu que jusqu'à l'épisode 7, et il n'y que très peu d'action : n'espère pas y voir un Harlock courir et se battre avec son sabre laser. Enfin malgré ça, j'ai beaucoup aimé, et il faudra que j'en vois la fin un de ces 4 ;)

Merci beaucoup pour ces informations. Je viens de lire la critique de dvdanime et l'aspect sombre qui en ressort me semble assez séduisant. Visiblement, il semblerait que le traitement soit plutôt psychologique, ce qui devrait me plaire.
Les images sont également fort sympathiques...

L'auteur est un astrophysicien repute au Japon. Paru pour la premiere fois en 1950, l'ouvrage reste une reference pour apprendre les bases de l'astronomie.
Comme d'autres mangaka, Leiji aurait connu ce livre a l'ecole primaire et il l'aurait notamment inspire pour GE999.

Classics of child science book on 1950 beginning of the year printing. The author is one of the originators of the astrophysics research of Japan. It is a content in the story of the adventure fantasy tailoring including difficult expertise from the base of astronomy. A detailed explanation of the latest astronomy by Osaka Kyoiku University and a Fukue pure professor is added in best-selling and the original this time and it reprints. One the best for still learning of base of astronomy now.
Cartoonist and Reiji Matsumoto are enchanted to the world in this book at the sixth grade of elementary school, and say that it makes this a starting point and invented a lot of masterpieces including 'Milky Way railway 999'. In his work, this books are all starting points.

This book was published the first edition in 1950, and is classics of the child science book with the hand of the astronomer who was doing a state-of-the-art research at that time. The revised edition is put out as one of the boys and girls science fine book complete volume in 1964, and it is best-selling ..going through the 16th edition by 85 years...
Moreover, it is a starting point of the Matsumoto work that holds a fan deep-rooted as Reiji Matsumoto of the cartoonist known by 'Milky Way railway 999' and 'Space battleship Yamato' says, "All my works did not arise if this book was not read". The composition of the story that a beautiful woman invites the boy to Space Odyssey runs with the Matsumoto work.
There are a lot of parts of a basic content that are more excellent without becoming antiquated than that of a present general manual. To read as the illustration is also abundant, and an astronomical beginner is happy, it is devised.
Comment of publisher
It is comprehensible from feature → base of this book to a special content, and is interesting.
- The narrative style like the adventure fantasy that the way of talking is not in the current child science book.
- A real content that the present astronomer also marvels though it is child writing must be included.
- Many of the content must run at the present age though it is classics. (There are a lot of parts where not only the base but also a special content runs. )
- The illustration must be composed a lot, and legibly. A special content must be an explanation that is easier because of the insertion of figure.

Sympathique série, préquel de Galaxy Express 999 et du destin de Maëtel. On y voir Promethium en grand méchant, Harlock, Emeraldas et toute la clique ^^ (Harlock et son équipage son à bord du Death Shadow et pas de l'Arcadia). C'est mignon, idéaliste, du beau pitit Matsumoto bien fichu :)

En fait je suis tenté de l'acheter, mais entre les critiques pourries d'un côté et les pas critiques "ca depend des gens" de l'autre, je suis plutôt indécis au final.

Moi, l'oeuvre culte de Matsumoto pour moi avec GE 999 c'est Starzinger. Cette anime n'a réelement marché qu'en Suède et outre mesure en Italie. J'ai vu les DVDs Suédois, mais uniquement en Suédois of course.
Est-ce que quelqu'un a des nouvelles de cette fameuse édition DVD que la Tôei promettait à toute ses séries "obscurs" ? Je parle de DVD Japonais of course. :hypocrite:
Sinon, pas mal de mes séries fétiches (pratiquement inconnu en France, soit parcequ'elles sont très ancienne, soit parcequ'elles ne sont jamais sortit en France...) sont également sortit en Italie (et ont plutôt bien marché là-bas), et en DVD Z2 avec Version Italienne et VO (master japonais)... Est-ce que quelqu'un sait si cela a été le cas pour Starzinger ?

Beaucoup sont choqués par cet extrait. En effet, ils ont l'impression que Harlock est un gentil. La VF et le côté club do' ont fait beaucoup de mal à la réalité. Harlock n'est pas un rigolo ni dans 78, ni dans le 84. Alors du coup, la dureté et la violence passent assez mal.
Pourtant...

Leiji Matsumoto sera l'auteur d'un nouveau manga d'Harlock, publié au Japon à partir d'aout prochain. Les dessins ne seront pas de lui mais ça pourra mériter un coup d’œil.

Ça me fait penser que je n'ai toujours pas vu plus de la moitié du film en CG... je bloque un peu.

J'ai eu un peu de mal aussi.
Cet harlock, à la fois poseur et benêt, ne m'a pas vraiment plu.

Je l'ai vu.
Je ne sais pas ce qui me dérange le plus, la 3D ou le film - et le fait que ce soit une bouze - MAIS il a le mérite d'exister et de donner envie de se remater la série à défaut ^^

Mais ce n'est pas un dépressif immortel kamikaze suicidaire qui se fout du sort de l'univers et qui n'aime pas les hommes.
Qui aurait pu penser que vider son stock de matière noire sur une planète qu'on veut préserver n'était pas une idée ultra pertinente ?
